The widow of Haitian President Jovenel Moise, Martin Moise, recalled the terrible details of her husband’s murder. Her words are quoted by the publication France 24.
“In the blink of an eye, the mercenaries broke into my house and riddled my husband with bullets, < … > without even giving him the opportunity to say a word,” Moiz shared. The woman said that her husband’s blood should not be spilled in vain, and urged not to let the country “lose its way”.
At the same time, the acting Prime Minister of Haiti, Claude Joseph, previously said that Moiz was tortured before he was killed.
A group of unknown assailants attacked the residence of the President of Haiti on the night of July 7. The criminals fatally wounded the head of state with a firearm, he received 12 wounds. His wife was also injured, after she was sent to the United States for treatment. Among the eliminated assassins of the president were three foreigners. Law enforcement agencies managed to detain a possible coordinator of the operation for the murder of Moiz.
